Administrative
law involves advocating on the client's behalf before a government
agency's administrative tribunal. The rules and regulations associated
with these agencies can be just as complex as those in a court
of law. We are experienced in representing clients before municipal,
state and federal agencies, boards and commissions, at all stages
of the administrative process, from application through any necessary
appeal.
Some of the more common agencies that we practice before include
the State Departments of Education, Environmental Protection,
Labor, Motor Vehicles, and Social Services. Other more specific
agencies include the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities
(CHRO), State Boards of Mediation and Arbitration and Labor Relations,
municipal zoning boards of appeals and planning and zoning commissions,
and State and local claims commissions. Examples of administrative
actions include Medicaid Fair Hearings, driver's license suspensions,
and school expulsions and special education hearings.
For more information in these areas, please contact Robert
Michalik or Dennis G. Ciccarillo, or call 860-225-8403, ext. 100 or 103. |
